Course of events

By letter dated July 25, 2025, the defendant requested an adjournment of sentencing "until at least December 2025" (Dkt. 715). The Government opposed the request (Dkt. 718).

Ruling

The defendant's request is GRANTED. Sentencing, then scheduled for September 8, 2025, was adjourned to January 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 15D of the United States Courthouse, 500 Pearl Street, New York.

The order also set a schedule:

• The defendant shall file his sentencing submission by December 23, 2025; any objections he intends to raise as to the factual accuracy of the presentence report shall be made in writing in that submission;
• The Government shall file its submission by January 6, 2026.

Note

This was one of several adjournments the sentencing underwent; sentencing was ultimately held on June 29, 2026, roughly five months later than the date set by this order. In the same period the Government requested a $1.3 billion forfeiture money judgment against Guo on July 28 (Dkt. 716) and filed a notice of supplemental authority (Dkt. 717); the Court entered a preliminary order of forfeiture as to specific property on August 11 (Dkt. 720).
