Notice of Filing of Official Transcript

A one-page standard-form notice filed on the docket of United States v. Miles Guo, 23 Cr. 118 (AT) (S.D.N.Y.), on July 15, 2026, recording that the court reporter/transcriber has filed an official transcript of a proceeding in the case. It accompanies the sentencing transcript docketed the same day (Doc 864).

What the Notice Does

The notice starts two clocks that govern public access to the transcript:

• Seven (7) calendar days from the date of filing for any party to file a Notice of Intent to Request Redaction, a copy of which must also be served on the court reporter;
• Ninety (90) calendar days, after which — if no such notice is filed — the transcript may be made remotely electronically available to the public without redaction.

Redaction Responsibility and Scope

The form states that redaction responsibilities fall on the attorneys of record or pro se (self-represented) parties, even where the person who requested the transcript is a judge or a member of the public or the media.

The redaction process may be used only for a closed list of personal data identifiers: Social Security numbers, dates of birth, minors' names, and financial account numbers, per Fed. R. Civ. P. 5.2 and Fed. R. Crim. P. 49.1. A party wishing to redact any other information must proceed by motion.

Certification

The form closes with the court reporter/transcriber's certification that the transcript is a correct transcript from the record of proceedings in the matter.
